Project Description

Restructuring & restoration of native pinewood habitat at Glenfeshie Estate for biodiversity benefit & landscape quality enhancement. A £160,000 project towards which SNH and the landowner each contributed £40,000 and the Highland Council £10,000.

Restoration of native pinewood habitat  benefits capercaillie & black grouse as well as red squirrel, Scottish crossbill, twinflower, wood ants, pearl-bordered fritillary. Kentish glory, intermediate wintergreen & crested tit.
