Biodiversity Talks 2014-15

Posted on

The Biodiversity Talks that have been running at Highland Council HQ since 2012 are about to start again. They will cover all sorts of subjects from Slugs and Snails to the Highland Wildcat. To see the talk schedule click here.

We have tried to have a talk on the first Monday of each month, but there are a few that have had to be held on the second Monday due to logistical reasons, but you can see all that on the attached schedule. All the talks will be held in the Council Chamber unless you are advised otherwise.

The talks are again open to anyone. If you are a member of the public and would like to attend then all you need to do is turn up at the reception of the Council headquarters in Glenurquhart Road at 12.30 on the day of the talk and you will either be taken to the Council Chamber or directed to it. The talks start at 12.45 and finish at 13.15 with some time for questions afterwards.

If you are not on the circulation list for the talks then pleased do get in contact with me and I will add your details to it. If you are on this list (your email will not be shared with anyone) then you will get a summary of each talk sent to you and a reminder of the talk coming up a week before it is due to happen.

The first talk will be next Monday on the Wildlife Walks in and around Inverness. You do not have to go far to find the great wildlife that we have on our doorstep and Katy Martin, Senior Ranger for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, will be telling us all about the places we can visit and what we can see there.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions and do circulate the talk schedule to anyone you think may be interested in attending.
