Orkney Recorders Seminar

Caithness, volunteers travelled to Orkney

Project Description

The grant covered the travel and subsistence of 11 voluntary biological recorders to attend a Recording Seminar in Orkney. Four of those attending gave talks on projects that they has been involved with: the Highland Bumblebee Atlas, Great Yellow Bumblebee Project, Village Wildlife Audits and Water Voles in Caithness. It was a rare opportunity for the two recording communities to meet and discuss common issues and species on either side of the Pentland Firth.
