Buildings and Biodiversity Conference
Inverness, Friday 29th September 2006

This conference brought together a wide variety of speakers looking at all aspects of buildings and biodiversity. The 60 folk who attended were split 50/50 between those involved in the construction industry and those in biodiversity conservation. All were fulsome in their praise of the day and it has already initiated some action up in Thurso, with a housing association incorporating Swift provision into their new flats.

The conference was funded by the Highland Biodiversity Action Plan Implementation Project . It was part of the Highland Swift Survey, which was coordinated by Thalia Watmough, a Project Scotland Volunteer working with The National Trust for Scotland.
